Solon Philharmonic Orchestra
Solon Philharmonic Orchestra is an exciting opportunity for talented amateur and professional musicians (high school age to adult) to collaborate in a rewarding musical environment. Whether a seasoned veteran or a musician that has recently rediscovered their passion for playing, SPO members are presented with enjoyable experiences designed to expand and strengthen musical skills, performance practice and exposure to the Classics!
Under the direction of Principal Conductor Vincent L. Danner, Associate Conductor Brian Thornton and Assistant Conductor Gerald MacDougall, each season, SPO performs three concerts that include a performance with a renowned soloist and the winner of the Young Artists' Concerto Competition. Positions are open to all standard orchestral instruments, including strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Instrumentalists of all skill levels are encouraged to join!
